She served as Story Editor on S3 of the Annie and Emmy-award-winning series Hilda for Silvergate/Netlix, created by Luke Pearson, and recently served as Head Writer on Big Nate, a Nickelodeon/Paramount+ animated series based on the books of Lincoln Peirce.

Emily is interested in writing, creating and showrunning for all realms of animation: TV, feature, 6-11, preschool, 4-quadrant, adult, and primetime. She has a special knack for the sweet and the strange, and has developed and sold nine animated projects in her decade-long career thus far. She is also a member of SAG, available for all your deadpan, wacky, and normal voice-acting needs.

Her latest project, GOLDIE, an original, independent produced animated short about a giant girl with a giant heart, has toured film festivals internationally, won 'Best of the Fest' at LAAF 2019, 'Special Mention' Kids' Choice Award at The Palm Springs Int’l Shortfest 2019, and was featured on Short of the Week. What people are saying…

  • I’ve loved Emily Brundige’s humorous and charming animation since I first saw her CalArts student film. She’s a creator - auteur whose pieces can be sensitive & introspective and also flat out funny. Emily’s a great songwriter - artist but it’s her writing and personal voice that stand out for me. She imbues her humor with whimsy, pathos & pinch of the absurd, but she creates believable modern characters for our time.

  • As a writer, Emily has a one-of-a-kind voice. She knows just how to craft the perfect line that will catch you off guard with its simplicity, while also making you think, smile, melt, or laugh out loud. As a showrunner, Emily is a true leader. She greets everyone on the crew by name and knows just how to make them feel appreciated. While working together on an original series of her creation, Emily flexed her collaboration skills time and again while also holding true to her unique vision. She consistently delivered above and beyond, through all stages of production and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.
